The Giddyup Girls Junior Drill Team started in August 2009 aspiring to reach the level of drill teaming that our senior drill team, The Rockin' L Cowgirls, performs at. These girls work just as hard at drill team as the Cowgirls do and get better and better every day. The girls are so inspired by drill team that they came up with their own name ("The Giddyup Girls"), their own drills and they even practice on their own during their free time! Talk about committed! These girls have what it takes to become great precision drill team members and are getting closer to that goal every time they practice. In fact, the Giddyup Girls went to their first competition in November and took 1st place in the junior division! If that doesn't scream determination I don't know what does.

The Giddyup Girls practice every Tuesday night from 6:30pm-8:00pm. This drill team is open to members ages 8-16 at a beginner to intermediate level of riding ability. Members must either lease or own their own horse and have transportation to and from practices and performances. If you are interested in becoming a member of the Giddyup Girls Drill Team contact Ashley Lay at
