What is the Instructor Apprenticeship Program?

The Instructor Apprenticeship Program is a hands on learning experience designed for young students that have an interest in teaching others horseback riding skills. It is built to give students an opportunity to work with kids teaching them what they know, while learning how to handle groups of children as well as learning how to handle certain situations involving horses and children. The apprentice will be able to get feedback from the instructor on how they did and what they could do differently in various situations and scenarios.

The Instructor Apprenticeship Program runs from March 15th to March 14th with the end of the year trip being in the beginning of March. Enrollment paperwork must be submitted by March 10th to be considered for the program. Once entered into the program, the apprentice will be required to attend all meetings and sign up for learning hours for the year.
